I embrace a a whole-foods and personalized approach to nourishing your body for optimum wellness.
I grew up with multiple food allergies and intolerances, so from a young age I was keenly aware of the power of food to to either harm or heal. I initially wanted to be an immunologist so I could "find the cure to childhood allergies."
I studied Physiology at UCLA and through my experiences with research realized that while I love the pursuit of laboratory scientific advancement, my true passion lay with interacting with people on a personal level...and with cooking (and eating!). It was then that I decided I wanted to become a Registered Dietitan. I then pursued my Master's degree in Nutritional Sciences at California State University Los Angeles and completed my dietetic training at USC Keck Hospital, UCLA Medicine (Division of Digestive Health), and Kaiser Permanente.
After finishing my training, I moved up to Northern California and am now settled in the Bay Area. I spend my time working as a clinical dietitian at Stanford Hospital, doing contract writing work as a Registered Dietitian, cooking up a storm, hiking, and yoga-ing!
I have a special interest in and conduct personal research about:
gastrointestinal diseases and disorders
food allergies and intolerances
the gut microbiome
